Ukraine 2028 Olympics (Skateboarding)
Ukraine has been participating in the Olympics since 1994. Before that, they competed as part of the Soviet Union. In 2024, Ukraine had its smallest team in Olympic history. The 2020 Olympics marked the debut of skateboarding, which has since gained significant popularity. I felt strongly about my decision to create a product and apparel line for Ukraine and their Olympic skateboarding team.
I looked into important symbols, creatures, plants, etc. Ukraine has and those helped influence the design for the board, wheels, and the jersey.

I chose a cherry and a piece of wheat because Ukraine is the 7th largest producer of wheat and 5th largest exporters. Cherries thrive in Ukraine’s environment and they are prominent exporters of cherries with neighboring countries, including Belarus. Both cherries and wheat are vital to the exports and economy of Ukraine, which is why I made them a pattern for the board.
